The Lucedores

The Lucedores are a modern day interpretation of the famous Tiffany lamps.

"We wanted to make a lamp with surprising materials which was easy to produce. Now we think about it, it’s the total opposite of what a Tiffany lamp stands for nowadays."

While the organic looking feet of the lamps are casted in a special kind of plaster, the lampshades are made out of a soft foam. And the name?  The lights reminded us of those Mexican wrestlers also known as Luchadores. During Ventura Interieur in Kortrijk, we’ll show three Lucedores in three different sizes.

NIGHTSHOP

Ward van Gemert and Adriaan van der Ploeg founded NIGHTSHOP in 2010. Based in Rotterdam (NL), NIGHTSHOP tries to create surprising products with a reference to everyday life and a strong focus on bringing aspects of ‘low-culture’ into their designs. Apart from that, NIGHTSHOP is also keen on investigating the boundaries between good and bad taste. 

VENTURA INTERIEUR

Ventura Interieur 2012 will take place from October 20th until October 28th during the Biennale Kortrijk. You can find NIGHTSHOP on the Ventura Runway at Buda Island.
